2018 Volkswagen Atlas Pricing and Details
Volkwagen’s first foray into the mid-size SUV market is seemingly a huge success. A mid-size SUV should strike a balance between what a crossover might offer, like efficiency and handling, with the benefit of more space and more power, all without being bulky.
The Atlas comes with one of two engine options. The first is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that can reach up to 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. There’s also the 3.6-liter V6 option, which bumps the numbers up to 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. The 4Motion all-wheel drive system is available with the bigger engine. Supported by the Modular Transverse Architecture, the Atlas is guaranteed to offer a rewarding drive.
Inside, the new mid-size SUV from Volkswagen is incredibly roomy. In fact, when you fold down the rear two benches, there’s a cavernous 98.6 cubic feet of space. That’s likely to beat all competitors in the mid-size market.
The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas pricing involves in three major trim levels:
- The Atlas S starts at $30,500. With the V6 and all-wheel drive, it starts at $33,700.
- The Atlas SE starts at $33,590.
The top-end Atlas SEL Premium is priced at $48,490.
